Hunting for George x kaboodle laundry

check out our recent laundry collaboration with home, design and lifestyle hub, Hunting for George!

We collaborated with Hunting for George for the second season of their YouTube series Reno Goals, where they revamp a 1930's weatherboard home in the coastal town of Lorne, Victoria.

After completing the kitchen renovation, Hunting for George decided to tackle their laundry. The original space was quite small and pokey with the washer and dryer stack on top of each other in order to fit in the space. There was a small sink, no bench space and no storage. Hoping to give the space a modern makeover, Lucy and Jonno extend the layout of the laundry and move its location, including it in the new extension. This decision was made to create a more functional space that will accommodate the five-bedroom home.

Lucy used the Bunnings design service to plan the laundry, like she did for the kitchen. Using the kaboodle 3D planner allowed her to visualise and get a feel for what was possible from a colour and layout perspective.

“The interior design concept for this laundry was in keeping with the new kitchen makeover, sticking to warm, earthy neutral tones. Nude, timber, brass gold, timber and warm whites created the perfect calm base,” says Lucy.

Lucy opted for our wild garlic and hazelnut v doors and panels in the modern profile. Similar to the kitchen, Lucy and Jonno also wanted to create a wall of storage in the laundry, including a second fridge for additional storage when entertaining.
