interior stylist Kerrie-Ann Jones x kaboodle

well-known interior stylist, Kerrie-Ann Jones, has updated her laundry and kitchenette to create two warm and inviting spaces!

Interior Stylist Kerrie-Ann Jones recently updated her laundry and kitchenette with kaboodle, making a seriously stylish statement when it comes to functionality and design – take a look!

“It was important for us to have a clean and simple layout that was easy to navigate, so I opted for kaboodle kitchen cabinetry.” Says Kerrie-Ann in a recent Home to Love article. She opted for the kaboodle paint your own doors in the modern profile, natural timber hevea benchtops and brushed amber gold cabo handles.

As a former magazine stylist, I would often use the kaboodle Paint Your Own Doors range for kitchens I designed for the magazine, so I was familiar with the product and how brilliant it is. I love the flexibility of painting the doors whatever colour I choose and how affordable it is.” Says Kerrie Ann.

You don’t need a lot of space to create a laundry that functions and looks great too, just some savvy design smarts and a few stylistic details to pull the room together. Including an open shelf is always a great idea, even in a small space, as it opens up the area and creates a nook for styling objects, adding warmth and personality, and it’s safe to say Kerrie-Ann has done just that.

In Kerrie-Ann’s kitchenette, she opted for a straight-line layout to maximise usable space while also creating a connection between the kitchen, dining and living areas.

When it came to the style of the space, Kerrie-Ann wanted the kitchen and laundry to blend seamlessly, creating a cohesive look and feel throughout her home. “I went with the modern - paint your own doors range as I like the contemporary flat profile and blinged it up with the gold cabo hardware. I decided to go with the timber benchtop as I prefer using natural textures wherever possible and it worked well with the other textures in each room.” says Kerrie-Ann.

“I enjoyed the planning process, where I could login to the kaboodle website, add in the dimensions of the room and then drag and drop the kaboodle cabinetry products into the space. It helped to visualise how the cabinetry will look and what size products best fit the area. It’s also great that I could drop by Bunnings and take home samples of the finishes to see how they will work with the other materials I planned to use. The cherry on the top was when we painted the doors and installed everything. Seeing all the planning and samples come to life in the finished product was very rewarding.”

Kerrie-Ann’s decision to keep cabinetry, benchtops and hardware consistent in her kitchenette and laundry allowed the spaces to blend seamlessly and create a sense of purpose. Our paint your own doors range meant Kerrie-Ann could achieve the exact warm shade she was after. “We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!” says Kerrie-Ann.
